We have been granted planning permission for a multi-functional space. There were no objections to the planning permission – which is testament to the positive impact the Club has had on the local community and the potential for the community to benefit from this development.
The Club had applied to Power to Change (“PTC”) for a grant to develop under the St. Mary’s Road End Stand. However, PTC have confirmed they are not offering a grant to the Club at this stage. PTC are still positive about the benefits of the Club’s proposal and have suggested we reapply for funding in October (by which time the Club will have a new settled board in place).
In the meantime, the Club is exploring other funding options to initially develop the space so that it meets the required health and safety standards and can continue to be open on match days.
The Club will keep members informed and will consult members once the options have been fully considered and there is a workable proposal.
