Members of the Blue Union and Spirit of Shankly stood in solidarity with Blackpool FC supporters outside a Liverpool court - hours before the club’s owners dropped the case.

Around twenty Blackpool fans were protesting outside Liverpool Family and Civil court this morning against the club owners, Owen and Karl Oyston, as one of their fellow fans was due to make an appearance at a civil court, accused of libel.

Jeremy Smith was being sued for £150,000 by the club for holding up a doctored copy of the Blackpool Gazette at a match. It featured a picture of Owen Oyston and read “we are thieves”(LINK article via liverpoolecho.co.uk).
