Budget fund announced... LINK

The ‘Build The Budget’ fund is a rallying call for supporters of Wrexham AFC across the world, be they fans or businesses, to back the club that they own in further building its first team budget for the 2017/18 season.

The objective is to get us back to challenging for a chance to return back to the Football League ready for the 2018/19 season. Other clubs have done this, with Grimsby being a notable example when they raised £110,000 which helped drive them to promotion in 2016.

Why are we launching the fund?
Fans have asked us to launch this initiative and ensure that any money raised will go exclusively towards the first team playing budget for next season and therefore all monies donated to ‘Build The Budget’ will be housed in a separate bank account to achieve this aim.

A return to the Football League would benefit the town and region, not just the football club and would bring increased civic pride for North Wales. Along with our loyal fanbase we urge local businesses to pledge their support and help us achieve this aim by joining those to contribute to ‘Build The Budget’.

Why are we announcing it now?
We are announcing it now so that we have the best chance of raising funds between now and the end of the season to give ourselves even more chance of success in the National League next season. Starting early helps enable manager Dean Keates to identify and land the players who can help us realise our ambition as early as possible in the summer transfer window.

View from Manager Dean Keates
“This is a tremendous idea from you the owners of the club. As a Trust Member myself, I understand the contribution people already make into this great club so would ask that people give only of what they can. I want to ensure you that every penny raised will be spent carefully and with one thing in mind which is to help us challenge next season. You are amongst the best fans anywhere and we all appreciate your support and generosity.”
